Team Building Activity: Pasta Party With Your Valentine

Invite your partner to discover their new favorite pasta recipes in this Valentine's Day cooking class. Chef Jimmy will lead you through an engaging experience that will strengthen connection skills and creativity, all while providing you with a feast of chef-approved eats! Begin with a demonstration of how to craft homemade pasta by hand and make three classic sauces from scratch. Next, your partner and you will roll and shape your own fresh pasta dough. You’ll use a variety of ingredient options to create your own unique sauces.

Pasta Dough

With flour, egg, olive oil, salt and water


Marinara Sauce

With crushed tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, oregano and salt


Alfredo Sauce

With heavy cream, garlic, butter, parmesan cheese and flour


Pesto Sauce

With basil, olive oil, garlic, pine nuts and salt

After completing military service, Chef Jimmy enrolled in culinary school. Upon completion of his culinary apprenticeship, he earned the title of "certified culinarian" from the American Culinary Federation. He then went on to work at some of the most prestigious properties in the country, including the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Allison to name a few. He also acted as a culinary instructor at the secondary and post-secondary levels. In 2013, Chef was deemed one of the "Best Chefs in Louisiana" and voted among his chef peers as a "young gun".
