Fun class for learning a new recipe and you get to eat it afterwards and bring home the leftovers. Mimi is a nice teacher and makes dietary accommodation for all who need it.

Chef Mimi was an exceptional teacher. My fear of cooking Thai food is gone! It is so delicious and we made it ourselves! Nice location with the variety of drinks and desserts!

As much as a wonderful person, Chef Mimi is to me, the class was very disorganized not properly set up in the location is not a great spot to host a cooking class. Not because of the chef but everything associated with it I would not go back. A lot of the supplies seemed not clean or broken.

I’m not really sure how to leave this review because Mimi is very sweet, and probably a great cook, but the entire class was a mess, and even worse, very unsanitary. When we arrived to class, there were no supplies set up. It took 30 minutes past the class start time for Mimi to pass out the equipment to everyone. The equipment was dirty and the venue was not suitable for this class as there was no kitchen - no accessible water or a place to wash your hands or supplies. Making the pasta was fun but the warehouse environment, working on dirty folding tables, made the pasta unappealing. By the time the pasta was made I wondered how we would boil it. Mimi’s solution was to grab a bucket and get hot water from an unknown back room to distribute. I used a plastic bowl to scoop water from the bucket to a skillet (a skillet to boil water?!) in order to boil my pasta. We were given dirty rags to clean our equipment as we went. All this time we were provided no instruction. We constantly had to call Mimi over to ask her what to do next. It was this way for every group there. By the end we didn’t even want to eat the pasta. She provided no recipes and everyone left hungry. I’m so glad this was a gift otherwise I would have been angry to have paid $120 for this class - if you can call it that. If you purchase this class please don’t come hungry and come with patience and no expectations.

This experience was incredibly unorganized. The Chef arrived late after the class was already postponed by 1 hour. Due to this we started half an hour late. We were not given all the supplies we were needed and had to use broken camping stoves, plastic spoons in cooking which melted exposing us to dangerous chemicals in the food, and utensils that were clearly not cleaned and sanitized. On top of all of this, no clear instructions were given so I left the class not having learned anything. I would not recommend this experience.

Mimi was incredibly nice and answered any questions we had. Being my first cooking class, didn’t know what exactly to expect. But felt like all we did was follow a recipe on paper, which I could’ve done in my own house. I thought as a class we’d being cooking things together going step by step but was more of a free for all, which personally I was not a fan of

The location and time change the day before. I received an email the evening before, but with scams being rampant I was not sure if this email was really true . I tried several times to contact classpop. I called the original location and they confirmed there was ni class. I did not sin up to drive into downtown Minneapolis. I am so disappointed in how this has been handled .

Chef Mimi was very nice but the environment was not what I expected when paying for a cooking class. We did not have any cooking equipment or get to help with the sauces. We were given an egg, flour, and a little plastic bowl to mix together to make the pasta. That was about the extent of what we got to experience. I was hoping it would be more hands-on, in a kitchen environment, and that we would get more than just a couple small samples of pasta. Overall, still enjoyed it but it was not as elaborate and not the cooking experience I anticapted.

The location was tough (No12Cider) -hard to get in and out of our seats, hard to see and hear what was going on, making pasta on old wooden tables that were close quarters, and didn't have space to lay the pasta out on. That said, Mimi and Nabil were both wonderful -warm, encouraging, knowledgable and fun. My friend and I had a good experience, and learned a lot, but I likely wouldn't sign up for a class at that location again.

Our class with Mimi was absolutely WONDERFUL! No clue how we lucked out with this, but we ended up with a super small class so we got all kinds of one-on-one attention. Even without that, though, it would still have been amazing. We did the pad Thai class and it is so incredibly accessible and truly easy to do! The recipes are super clear on their own, but Mimi also explains everything so well, provides examples when needed, answers any questions you might have, but also gives you the freedom to make the recipe your own and tailor it to your own tastes. She’s super encouraging - you can take this class no matter what your cooking skill level is and feel totally ok. One of the best parts was that you actually get to cook! Hands on prep work, actual cooking, and then the best part, eating! Even though the location our class was at wasn’t a kitchen setting, Mimi had everything we needed to be able to do all the tasks. It was really awesome to feel that sense of ownership over the final product. We really, genuinely had the best time and are already planning ahead to future classes with her. Highly, highly recommend learning with her!

Disappointed in the experience. We did not receive a recipe to follow. Mimi td.ua to go to her website for the recipe. It felt like she didn't give a recipe to self promote her website. NO recipes were there wither. After the class, Mimi said she forgot to bring peanut butter. Apparently it goes in the sauce. We would have known that if recipes were handed out instead of an optional grocery list

This is not a cooking class where you will learn much. It's pretty much self taught and learn how to problem solve type of a class. Like other comments, there is not a kitchen to use. In order to wash your hands, you have to go outside into a bathroom. Fortunately, our class did not blow any fuses. There were not very clear directions on what the steps were, as the recipe provided does not give any "measurements". It literally says, cook chicken, cut veggies, mix ingredients for sauce. I felt like every group around us, including ours was constantly looking for advice or directions.... like a bunch of chickens running around aimlessly. With 23-25 people trying to get the recipe, Mimi was stretched thin with her attention. It felt like all 5 groups were winging the recipe and hoping for the best. This is definitely not better than takeout pad thai. Be prepared for some chaos! Hopefully you get a decent knife to cut with... Hopefully you already know the basic of cutting vegetables, using knives properly, and the proper sanitary precautions to take with chicken... because... well... you'll be in line asking for help like most people if you don't.

Chef Mimi was very sweet and new her stuff. However, there were some issues. The tables we used for making the pasta were not cleaned. The venue was not right for a cooking class as we kept blowing fuses trying to cook the food. Chef Mimi almost gave up on cooking the food completely until someone said that we would all really like to eat as none of us had eaten dinner yet because we had signed up for a cooking class. We all worked together to get the cooking devices on different circuits so we would not pop a fuse again. It would have been much better with hot plates enough for each couple or trio, and real pots. There was only running water in the bathrooms, so cleaning and handwashing were a struggle. We were also expected to all cook our handmade pasta in the same pots at the same time, meaning we were all sharing pasta that everyone's hands had been in. I know we were going to boil it, but we all really wanted to eat the pasta we had made. For the price, the ingredients were also lackluster. For the price, I would have expected olive oil and pasta flour to be used, but we used corn oil and bleached all purpose store brand flour. Would also have been great to have recipes for anything we made, but they were not provided. Like I said, Chef Mimi is great and really knows her stuff. I hope she can choose a venue that makes sense for a cooking class, improve the sanitary conditions of the workspace and food, use high quality ingredients in her classes, purchase equipment so we can actually cook the food, and provide recipes.

Mimi was great , organized and engaging. However, the brewery was not a good place to hold the class. No kitchen and the hot plates kept blowing the fuses, which was very frustrating. We had to find outlets out on the main room to use. Plus the small room we were on got hot with 13 people in it. She has classes at other facilities. I would try them.

I enjoyed the teacher and class. A couple of suggestions would make this class better: 1) wear a microphone so people could hear your instructions better, 2) at the beginning explain the entire process so students can understand the steps, 3) have an assistant to help answer questions. Thank you.

While Chef's enthusiasm and tips were great, I'm dissuaded from taking another class because way too much time was wasted by having 22 attendees stand in line, multiple times during the session, for supplies that should have been provided at each table.

The setting of a brewery/cidery is not ideal but Mimi did well with what we had to work with. It was a bit difficult to have to be working on our pasta and watching her create the sauce at the same time since we weren't in a kitchen setting where we could also make the sauce and do it altogether. Felt like our attention had to be in two places at once.

The teacher herself was great and had a wealth of information to share. We had a really fun date night all said and done! I do think that class pop should make it more clear which locations do or don’t have kitchens. All of the MN brewery or winery locations do not have kitchens. The good news is we got to bring home the pasta to make for our children tomorrow. (The teacher brought an already cooked dish for us to eat there)

Chef Mimi was energetic, kind, and brilliant. I've made the pasta a few times since the class. It was great to have guidance on pasta making, which has always intimidated me. The limiting factor was the venue--very cute cidery, but not a good spot for a cooking class. We made our pasta at high top tables and took it home to cook ourselves. Chef Mimi had prepared the sauce and pasta for us to eat that night.

Mimi is a sweet person and friendly. However, the venue wasn’t good for a cooking class. The music was too loud and it made it difficult to hear. Also- we didn’t get to participate- we just watched a demonstration. The food was good but I like more hands on classes.

Mimi was very friendly and cheerful. We were disappointed that this was not very hands on and we didn’t get to eat a full meal as we expected when paying the price we did. It was hard to hear due to the DJ at the brewery we were at. We did feel that we learnt something that will be useful in our home cooking.

This class was rather disappointing. There were not enough ingredients and utensils for everyone. The recipe guides did not match what was actually made, it all felt rather impromptu. The knives provided were horribly dull and inappropriate for the likes of dicing ginger. There was very minimal actual instruction, other than on folding (which was good), not that really anything was needed. The sauces were just skipped... The recipes in general were overly simple, tasteless, and too similar to each other. I feel like I learned less than just reading a recipe off google. The shared experience was still pleasant, and Mimi was also pleasant enough, and Luce Line was a nice location but in general it was not at all worth it.
