Pottery Class: Candles and Clay Collaborative Workshop

Join Instructor Emily and her talented team in a pottery class featuring custom candle-making! In this fun class, you'll learn how to use scents, waxes and decorative ingredients to create your very own candles inside of a handmade planter you'll select yourself.
Then, while your candle is curing, you'll get to have some fun with clay. Using slab, coil and pinch techniques (or the pottery wheel), you'll craft a custom pot for your candles. You'll even get to use a variety of tools, textured rollers and clay bodies to make something special.
Please note:
- The handmade ceramic vessel will take about one week to dry and go through a bisque kiln load. You can return after 7-10 days to glaze your pot, and then it will take an additional 7-10 days to go through a glaze firing.
- For an additional fill fee, you can have your second (handmade) pot filled with scented or unscented wax. You'll get to choose to fill your handmade vessel with wax when you come to glaze it.
Additional information regarding pick-up for filled vessels will be available during the workshop. Pots will only be held for 60 days, so don't forget to pick them up!

Had a blast playing with clay and made a few bowls that hopefully live through the kiln! Excited to go back and glaze our pieces and see the final result.
