Few cuisines present comfort food more delicious than the Italian dishes you'll create in this in-person cooking class with Chef Jose. He'll spirit you away on a soothing voyage of taste and texture, and you never even have to leave the kitchen! Begin your lesson with a refreshing Caprese salad filled with fresh tomatoes, basil and silky mozzarella. Then, create crispy potato croquetas flavored with Parmesan and assemble a handmade lasagna with layers of marinara, ricotta and mozzarella. And because comfort food should always include dessert, fry up a batch of classic cannoli with creamy ricotta filling and chocolate chips.

Wow--what an incredible experience. It was an absolute joy having Chef Jose come teach us how to make paella. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and traditions of paella and we loved learning as much as we could. All of the food was absolutely outstanding and we are so thankful to have met Chef Jose. He came with a bright and happy energy and we enjoyed spending the evening with him. Thank you for a beautiful experience!

Chef Jose taught me how to make an appetizer dish of stuffed dates wrapped in bacon. He clearly and slowly demonstrated how to properly cut the date and remove the pit. He then stuffed it with goat cheese. He used thick cut bacon to wrap around the stuffed date and baked them off. Chef Jose has an extremely friendly demeanor which made me feel so welcome.
Brazilian-born Chef Jose is a master of Spanish cuisine. He once prepared paella for a gathering of 400 guests! But Chef Jose is more than a private chef—he is also a caterer and culinary teacher with a distinct passion for delicious Spanish dishes. He strives to create stellar culinary experiences for every guest, student and aspiring chef who he serves or teaches. Chef Jose’s motto: “Life is too short to eat badly.”
