Cooking Class: The Basics of Sushi Rolling

Learn the basics of making your own sushi in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Vivian and Michi. The class will begin with the preparation of light miso soup with tofu before you learn how to prepare a cone-shaped temaki roll filled with cucumber, avocado, carrots and mushrooms. For your next roll, you'll craft an Alaskan sushi featuring smoked salmon and cream cheese. Finally, you'll conclude your meal with something sweet as you enjoy Japanese double-baked sweet potatoes.

Check Vivian and Chef Michi were wonderful and great teachers. They were professional and personable. We had so much fun making Sushi. Our pup, Shug, especially loved Chef Vivian since she gave her little treats. I can't wait to book another class.

They don’t call it “sushi making secrets” for nothing. We learned sooo much and the sushi and desert was really good. The chefs were really nice and personable. They definitely put in the 10,000 hours to know what they’re talking about. My mom said it was her best birthday ever!!!!
