Cooking Class: Rustic Italian with an Elegant Twist

Join Chef Alex for a cooking class featuring a wide range of culinary techniques for preparing a rustic yet elegant seafood menu. Chef Alex will provide his expertise to teach you valuable culinary techniques and innovative flavor combinations.


You'll start off with a cold salmon carpaccio appetizer made with a shaved fennel and shallot slaw accented by avocado and pickled apples. Next up is a tossed seasonal salad. Your entrée will be a rustic cioppino stew with wild-caught seafood, organic peppers and a homemade broth. For dessert, enjoy a refreshing meringue tartlet in a shortbread crust.

His career with the best catering companies in Washington has seen him serving Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, among others. Through 10 years spent in high-end Seattle catering, Chef Alex has developed a love of teaching and sharing his experiences.
