As much as a wonderful person, Chef Mimi is to me, the class was very disorganized not properly set up in the location is not a great spot to host a cooking class. Not because of the chef but everything associated with it I would not go back. A lot of the supplies seemed not clean or broken.

I’m not really sure how to leave this review because Mimi is very sweet, and probably a great cook, but the entire class was a mess, and even worse, very unsanitary. When we arrived to class, there were no supplies set up. It took 30 minutes past the class start time for Mimi to pass out the equipment to everyone. The equipment was dirty and the venue was not suitable for this class as there was no kitchen - no accessible water or a place to wash your hands or supplies. Making the pasta was fun but the warehouse environment, working on dirty folding tables, made the pasta unappealing. By the time the pasta was made I wondered how we would boil it. Mimi’s solution was to grab a bucket and get hot water from an unknown back room to distribute. I used a plastic bowl to scoop water from the bucket to a skillet (a skillet to boil water?!) in order to boil my pasta. We were given dirty rags to clean our equipment as we went. All this time we were provided no instruction. We constantly had to call Mimi over to ask her what to do next. It was this way for every group there. By the end we didn’t even want to eat the pasta. She provided no recipes and everyone left hungry. I’m so glad this was a gift otherwise I would have been angry to have paid $120 for this class - if you can call it that. If you purchase this class please don’t come hungry and come with patience and no expectations.
