Join Chef Baba for a lively, hands-on cooking class centered around Spain’s most iconic dish: paella.
In this session, you’ll make two versions: a hearty meat paella with chicken, chorizo and vegetables, and a fresh seafood paella with shrimp, mussels and calamari. Along the way, you’ll learn how to layer ingredients properly, work with saffron for rich color and flavor and achieve that perfect socarrat: the crispy, golden rice at the bottom of the pan. While everything cooks, enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere with a glass of wine and a few stories behind this classic communal dish. Come ready to cook, share and dig in.

My wife and I went with some friends to an Italian cooking class at Chef Baba’s. We learned how to make fresh Ricotta Gnocchi with an apple, pear and nut béchamel sauce, Lemon Chicken Piccata with capers and cannoli for dessert. Not only was everything delicious, it was highly interactive and entertaining! Even though there were about 40-50 people there, it felt like an intimate group of friends getting together for a nice dinner. Chef Baba regaled us with stories of his family that came from Italy as well as how his daughter needed a kidney transplant and how he researched clean eating to promote healthier lifestyles for all. He stressed the importance of using quality ingredients when cooking. He makes his own wine, Lemoncello and infused olive oils. He also shared with us his love of “The Godfather” movies. (1&2) and has impeccable acting skills and comedic timing lol! All in all it was a fantastic evening. Chef Baba has a variety of classes available and we will definitely go back! Highly recommend!

My first date night at Chef Baba's cooking class in Florida was amazing! Learned to make ravioli, brunette bisque, lobster mac, and paired it with homemade fine wine. Chef Baba was funny, improvised The Godfather, and shared life lessons at the end. Perfect for couples, fun, hands-on, and delicious. Highly recommend!
