Make French onion soup, coq au vin or bourguignon, plus fruit tarts in this hands-on cooking class.
Begin by mastering the art of slowly caramelizing onions to build a deep, flavorful base for a traditional French onion soup finished with bubbling gruyère. For your main course, choose between two celebrated dishes: coq au vin simmered in red wine with mushrooms and aromatics or tender boeuf bourguignon accented with carrots and a silky wine reduction. Conclude your class by preparing delicate fruit tarts using homemade dough and seasonal fruit for a beautiful, flaky dessert. Enjoy an authentic taste of France as you learn techniques you’ll use again and again!

This was the first time that my wife and I had taken a cooking course. There was virtually no instruction unless you were one of the lucky ones around the table that happened to be in front of him while he demonstrated. The resulting product was not really edible. The rice was a mushy mess. The whole time the class felt rushed and disorganized.
