Explore a distinct coastal cuisine in this hands-on cooking class. Chef John will guide you through a curated menu that features the flavors of Maryland.
Begin by preparing blue crab to make a hearty soup filled with tomatoes, onions, celery, carrots and corn. Season shrimp with Old Bay to make a Maryland-style shrimp cocktail. Make a homemade crab cake fried until golden and crispy to serve with parsley potatoes and fresh corn on the cob. For dessert, indulge in a sweet yogurt dessert topped with crisp apples, brown sugar and cheddar cheese.

We attended the Tour of Japan class for our 13th wedding anniversary. Chef John was very hospitable, welcoming us into his personal home and kitchen. He demonstrated how to make several dishes such as miso soup, Wakame and cucumber salad, spicy tuna roll, poached salmon roll, and pineapple mango sorbet - all from scratch! He allowed us to be as hands on as we wanted, and we enjoyed assembling and rolling our own sushi rolls. Chef John was very knowledgeable and informative, and everything was delicious! Thank you for a memorable experience, Chef John!

Chef John was wonderful! From the moment we arrived and throughout the entire evening we felt we had been long time friends. He went thru each course explaining how each ingredient complemented dish and how they added to the delicious conclusion. Finally learned how to cut an onion correctly. The meal was truly special and showed why Chef John is one of the top chefs.
