This was a fun and simple course to learn the basic foundation of rolling sushi. Mark walked us through the steps from how to flavor the rice properly, spreading it onto the nori and adding ingredients to tips on rolling it. All ingredients were provided and opportunity to interact with fellow table mates. Fun a d worth trying g it out as a hands on experience.

Chef Mark guided us in making the fresh pasta dough, rolling it out really thin, slicing it in strips, and cooking it. He made a delicious marinara sauce and our meal was superb. He gave us many useful tips as he guided us through the lesson. We had a small class in a quaint setting.

Sushi was smelling, not that interactive. It was boring and a waste of money, avoid!

Chef Mark did a great job of explaining the steps and showed each step.
At the end he gave us the recipes.
We had a great time and he answered all our questions.

While Chef Mark was a pleasant and personable individual, this was absolutely not a cooking class — it was a demonstration at best.
The “class” was held in the middle of a busy pub where music was playing, customers were talking and laughing, and people were actively playing darts and pool. There was no microphone, so we could barely hear the instructor. Calling this a class under those conditions is completely misleading.
We were expected to roll dough on small high-top pub tables, which was impractical and uncomfortable. Due to the setup, we couldn’t even clearly see the sauce being made.
There was no structured, hands-on instruction — just trying to catch bits and pieces of what was happening in a loud bar environment.
To make matters worse, the finished pasta was served in a small Styrofoam bowl with a plastic fork — not even a napkin provided. The dish itself was bland and underwhelming.
This experience was given as a gift, which makes it even more embarrassing. It felt disorganized, misleading and like a complete waste of money.
A cooking class should be interactive, educational and conducted in an environment where participants can actually hear and learn — not in the middle of a noisy pub during business hours.
Extremely disappointing. Not at all what we expected.

This was a fun experience, but too expensive even with a groupon for the two rolls we made. Most people around us left pretty hungry.

Just joined Chef Mark’s sushi making class and it was an awesome experience. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and makes the class easy to follow. I highly recommend.

Gifted this for my mom for christmas. We loved the experience! Chef Mark walked around the table and helped everyone ensuring they were done with the steps before moving on, and answering any questions. Pasta turned out great! Can’t wait to make it at home.

Chef Mark’s sushi class was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, it was engaging, informative, and so much fun. He breaks everything down in a way that feels approachable, even if you’ve never made sushi before, while still sharing great tips and techniques that make you feel like you’re learning something truly special.
The class was hands-on, well-paced, and full of little insights you wouldn’t get from a recipe or video. Chef Mark is knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does, which makes the entire experience even better. Plus, the sushi we made was a delicious reward at the end.
Whether you’re a total beginner or someone who loves sushi and wants to learn more, this class is 100% worth it. I’d absolutely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience.

We had the most amazing time!! We've done other classes in the past not sushi but painting, etc. This was by far the best. The instructors were both very kind, patient, and friendly. This was definitely a fun activity that I would recommend to anyone as well as do it again myself.

The experience was a 10/10! The class was fun, and we truly enjoyed the learning process along with the great tips Chef Mark shared. We’ll definitely sign up for another class. The location was perfect, with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

It’s was a good class and we enjoyed it. Learned a lot about the process and ingredients. Just wish the class was in a better venue! And we didn’t know the associated chef that was helping. A little odd.

It was a fun and informative class. Mark provided good feedback while we were making sushi to help us in the future. The venue was fine and not filled with other patrons at the time we were there.
It would have been helpful to have recipes or instructions to follow along with and take home. Some folks were taking notes and Mark said he would post afterwards but having the information at the time would have been helpful. If you’ve never made sushi take the class, good intro to sushi making.

The website greatly over advertises the experience, this felt like a waste of money and time, the chef seemed like a decent guy but he was ill prepared and also committing health hazard after health hazard. if you want to learn anything or actually get to cook I wouldn’t reccomend this class, or booking with this company, honestly hoping a manager or supervisor contacts me because I have so many complaints and worries that I need to speak to someone about.
