It wasn’t at all what you would expect of a ‘chocolate making’ class.
She is a nice person but you don’t get to really do it yourself. You basically make the truffle balls on what she prepared already.
It felt much more like she was trying to sell the pot she was cooking on then really trying to teach us something. You can learn to make ganache with an YouTube video for free.
Not to mention that she was late for it and a class that is said to last 90 minutes, lasted about 40.

Classpop is really letting this chef down. She is extremely friendly and educated. Venue had no AC and the power kept going out. All in all Amal still made the event memorable and educational.

The venue for this class was horrible. The background noise from the brewery made it impossible to hear anything. This wasn't the fault of the chef, I think classpop should have at least provided her with a microphone. The chef was extremely knowledgeable however, the class advertised that we would be making everything from scratch including the ganache fillings. The fillings were premade (and tasty) but it would have been nice to know how to make them. We were told we would be sent the recipe for the fillings and we still have not received them. A bad experience for our first Classpop class.

Chef Amal was awesome! She was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed learning how to make macarons from scratch.
