Celebrate the holidays with a creative candle making experience as you blend and pour your own festive soy candle.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll use 100% soy wax and toxin-free fragrance oils to create a candle inspired by the scents of the season. Instructors Demetrius and Quanda will guide you as you explore festive aromas such as winter woods, sweet spices and other cozy notes, then combine your favorites into a custom fragrance blend. You'll learn how to hand-pour and finish your candle step by step while enjoying a relaxed, hands-on experience. Once complete, take your handmade candle home to light throughout the holidays or give it to someone special as a thoughtful seasonal gift.

Classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that don't require specific skills or previous experience. Feel free to purchase wine or beer at the venue to enjoy during the class.

Amazing and fun class! Brought my wife for our 5 year anniversary. It is so nice that an up and coming company teaches how to make your own custom candle! The experience was so fun. and enjoyable. Quanda is a beautiful soul and so thoughtful and caring about what she teaches!! Will definitely do this again! Thank you so much!

Had a great time choosing a combination of scents for my candle. Demetrius and Quanda were really knowledgeable and fun to learn from. Getting to mix my scents with the candle wax and learning about the wax type and everything was a great time. Can't wait to burn my candle for the first time.

My mom and I recently took a candle-making class with Demetrius & Quanda, and it was hands-down one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences we’ve had together. From the moment we arrived, they made everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and excited to create. Their energy is genuine, and you can immediately tell they care deeply about both their craft and the people in the room. This isn’t just a class — it’s something they’ve poured heart into. They walked us through the entire candle-making process step by step, explaining not just what to do, but why we were doing it. Everything was detailed, organized, and easy to follow. No rushing, no confusion — just clear instruction and real support. What really impressed me was how intentional they were about helping us create something unique. They gave thoughtful suggestions about scent combinations and explained how different fragrances balance each other. I ended up blending Lemongrass & Lime, Teakwood, and Falling Leaves — and somehow it turned into the most incredible scent. Fresh, warm, slightly woodsy, and perfectly balanced. I never would have thought to combine those on my own, but with their guidance, it turned out amazing. The relaxed brewery setting made it even better. It didn’t feel stiff or overly structured — it felt fun, social, creative, and memorable. The kind of experience you talk about afterward and immediately start recommending to friends. If you’re looking for a unique date night, a girls’ night, a family outing, or just something different to do, this is it. Demetrius & Quanda are building something really special, and I genuinely hope their business explodes — because they deserve it. We will absolutely be back, and we’ll be bringing more people with us next time.

What a fun way to spend a couple of hours! We got a table with really fun people. The process was interesting and the instructors were patient and friendly with explaining the process. Definitely would recommend the class!

The Candle Making Class by Illuminare was a delight. The knowledge provided by the instructors was very helpful, without it being too technical. I really found the Fragrance Notes chart useful in helping you to develop the type of scent you wanted for your candle. I would definitely recommend this class to others and even participate in one again.
