San Diego - hands molding wet clay on pottery wheel Shot

In this two-hour, hands-on pottery class with Instructor Jeffrey, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing, a technique used by artists and craftsmen for thousands of years to create beautiful sculptures. Jeffrey will demonstrate how to make a cup, a bowl and much more. All materials are provided, including the clay, firing and glaze for one item. There is a $5 fee for each additional item.

Suitable for ages 14 and up no previous experience required.

This is a BYOB venue and alcoholic beverages are not available for sale. You are welcome to bring beer and wine to enjoy during class.

Great time! Harder than I thought it’d be. Great instruction. Wear clothes you don’t mind dirtying and ladies make sure you wear bottoms you can squat in. Would recommend!

Jefferey was a great instructor. He was very clear about how to use the pottery wheel and was helpful when clients were clearly struggling with their throw. I will definitely be coming back!

Just an amazing experience from start to finish! My fiance and I went to fulfill one of her childhood dreams of learning how to make pottery. It was fun and educational and we had a blast with the other people in the class too. Lots of laughs over wobbly pottery. It really makes you appreciate the high level of skill that the teacher possesses and the amazing art he’s able to create. We will definitely go back!
