Join ceramic artist instructor Evan for a two-hour, beginner-friendly pottery session where you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing or hand-building. Evan is an excellent pottery instructor. He works with his students at their level to help them improve and grow. He has a knack for recognizing when his students are hitting a wall. He is creative with providing skills and strategies to overcome their barriers. He is flexible with scheduling and has an inviting demeanor.
Instructor Evan Stephens is an accomplished ceramic artist based in southeast Tucson with a BFA from East Tennessee State University and over a decade of experience working in clay. Skilled in both traditional pottery and sculptural techniques, he teaches students of all ages and skill levels. His work often explores the interplay of clay and fabric, using texture, form and contrast to create dynamic, thought-provoking compositions.
