Photography Class: Composition in the Field - Metropolitan Museum of Art
Master photography composition while exploring The Met’s iconic galleries, architecture and works of art.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of New York City's most extraordinary classrooms for photographers. This three-hour, small-group workshop pairs expert instruction with hands-on practice in one of the city's most visually inspiring settings. You'll begin with guidance from an experienced instructor, learning the compositional techniques that can transform a simple snapshot into a compelling photograph. Then, put those principles into practice as you explore The Met's stunning spaces, from sweeping galleries and ornate architectural details to dramatic natural light and iconic works of art that have inspired creatives for generations. You'll learn to shoot with intention, see familiar scenes from new perspectives and make thoughtful choices with every frame. The compositional skills you develop can be applied wherever your camera takes you, whether you're photographing a bustling farmers market, a friend's birthday or your next travel adventure.

Very nice group of people and made sure every detail was planned out thoroughly. Ron, who was our photographer instructor, was very good as laying out how our camera works. Very nice introduction.
