Join a photography class at the Lincoln Park Zoo where you’ll explore composition among lions, lush gardens and historic architecture. Set along Chicago’s lakefront, you’ll move past the Kovler Lion House, Nature Boardwalk and shaded, tree-lined paths as they come alive with color and movement. You’ll practice framing, leading lines, the rule of thirds and creative use of light to turn everyday scenes into striking photographs.
The instructor will guide you in shifting focus from busy backgrounds to clear visual storytelling and from quick snapshots to intentional images. With playful challenges and real-time feedback, you’ll experiment with angles, depth and timing to capture personality in animals and rhythm in crowds. By the end, you’ll create images with sharper vision, stronger technique and a deeper understanding of how composition shapes compelling visual stories.
