Photography Class: Master Your Camera Controls - Long Beach Sunset Shoot
Master essential camera controls while capturing the beauty of a Long Beach sunset in this hands-on photography class.
This session focuses on understanding exposure through aperture, shutter speed and ISO, along with white balance, focus modes and shooting in manual mode. Participants will learn how to adapt quickly to changing coastal light, manage reflections off the Pacific Ocean, and use silhouettes and golden hour tones with intention. Set along Long Beach’s scenic shoreline, the class incorporates views of the harbor, palm-lined paths and the vivid sky colors that make Southern California evenings so memorable. By the end of the class, you will have practical skills to move beyond auto mode and create well-exposed, visually compelling images. Basic composition techniques and tripod use will also be introduced to improve sharpness and framing in low-light conditions.
