Photography Class: Composition in the Field - Como Park Zoo & Conservatory
Held in the beautiful Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, this photography class covers composition skills for shooting animals, flora and fauna.
Suitable for all experience levels from beginner to advanced, the class starts with a talk from a professional photographer on techniques like balancing elements, selective focus, leading lines and framing. You will then explore the zoo’s diverse animal habitats and lush conservatory gardens, learning to compose shots that highlight each subject’s natural beauty. You will shoot in bright and low-light conditions, capture objects in motion and have plenty of opportunities to frame your subjects in a unique way. The location allows you to practice dynamic compositions with both close-up and wide-angle subjects, capturing the park’s enchanting atmosphere. Later, use the skills you have learned to enhance the photographs you take on family vacations or during special events in your life.

Very nice group of people and made sure every detail was planned out thoroughly. Ron, who was our photographer instructor, was very good as laying out how our camera works. Very nice introduction.
