Photography Class: Composition in the Field - Reid Park Zoo
Reid Park Zoo is a beautiful setting for a photography class where you will learn to frame dynamic animal shots and environmental portraits.
First, take part in an educational lecture before venturing off to enjoy hands-on experience in composition techniques using your DSLR or mirrorless camera. From using the rule of thirds to highlight a giraffe’s tall stance against the sky, to experimenting with perspective for intimate animal portraits, you will explore various composition techniques and immerse yourself in a beautiful environment that opens you up to feeling creative. You will also learn about depth of field, capturing animals in a way that separates them from their surroundings for dramatic effect.
