Cooking Class: Sushi Workshop

Japanese food is simple, nourishing and delicious. If you want to learn the art of Japanese cooking, then you'll love this guided cooking class with Chef Isaac. 

He will teach you how to prepare three traditional dishes starting with miso soup, which is usually prepared with tofu, but you can swap it for tempeh if preferred. Next, you will learn how to make two types of sushi rolls. Start with a classic California roll filled with fresh vegetables and crab. Next, make a tuna roll enhanced with a spicy Japanese mayonnaise. 

Our cooking classes are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.


Miso Soup

With tofu or tempeh, scallions, seaweed, coriander and mushroom broth

California Roll 

With sushi rice, seaweed, crab meat, cucumbers and avocado

Uramaki Spicy Tuna Roll 

With nori, sushi rice, Japanese mayonnaise and sesame seeds

We did the cooking class on Jan 26 with Chef Isaac and we really enjoyed our Night! The chef is genuinely and super friendly! He went step by step first explaining what we were going to be doing and then we got to work! He made the sauce on his own but he carefully explained why and how it's made. He was the best, You can just tell he truly loves what he does! Thank you Chef Isaac, we definitely be back!
