Cooking Class: Dynamic Mexican Flavors

This fun, hands-on cooking class explores the zesty and vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine. Chef Jar will teach you how to craft a well-rounded and deeply flavored Mexican meal. You’ll make tortillas and salsa from scratch and authentic pork al pastor. You’ll begin the class by preparing an avocado salsa verde, followed by a shrimp ceviche with crunchy plantain chips. For the main course, you’ll prepare the pastor using traditional cooking techniques. To finish the meal, you’ll create a mouthwatering churros dessert bar.

Chef Jar is a super fun personality to learn from. He is extremely knowledgeable and makes cooking fun. He taught me how to make a simple homemade brown sauce to top a juicy steak with. He talked about the importance of knowing the science of the ingredients and how they cook. I would love to learn more from Chef Jar another time.
