Learn the basics of Japanese cuisine and sushi in this cooking class with Chef John while using fresh, high-quality ingredients and easy-to-master techniques.
After beginning by brewing a batch of golden miso soup, you will learn how to treat rice for sushi, basic knife skills, and sushi rolling techniques. You can also look forward to concocting a delicious sushi dipping sauce!
Our cooking classes are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef John was so much fun and informative! He made sure we knew exactly how to get to his place and welcomed us with warmth. The food was so good and fresh. I now know how to make Caesar dressing from scratch!

Overall a wonderful experience, food was great and so was the conversation. Just a tad warm in the house but overall he made our experience very memorable. He’s very capable and an excellent teacher.

Chef John's passion for experimenting in the kitchen and creating innovative recipes and dishes began at an early age. Since then, Chef John has amassed decades worth of experience working in a variety of culinary establishments and has worked alongside several top names in the food industry, such as Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse, and Julia Child.
