Cooking Class: Sushi Making 101

With over two decades of sushi-making expertise stretching from California to Boston, Chef Harold is ready to share his knowledge with you. This sushi fundamentals class is free of gluten, nuts and dairy, and focuses on medium inside-out rolls, or uramaki, and hand rolls, or temaki. Begin the hands-on class with miso soup, then move on to mastering sushi rolling. You'll start with a shrimp tempura hand roll, then craft a delicious sweet potato hand roll. To finish, you'll learn the secrets to making a spicy tuna roll.

Chef Harold was fantastic and we really enjoyed the Sushi 101 class. He did a great job explaining the ingredients, where to get them, why we take certain steps, and catered to everyone individually. The instructions were easy to follow and he made sure to demonstrate twice so we understood the technique and then helped everyone with questions. I would certainly recommend Chef Harold to anyone interested in sushi or other classes he offers.
