Take your taco game to a mouthwatering new level with this fun cooking class from Chef KJ. In this hands-on experience, you'll get to make delectable al pastor tacos completely from scratch, learning valuable new kitchen skills and recipes from an expert chef.
To start, you'll roll up your sleeves to combine masa harina, water and salt to make fresh, warm tortillas. Next, discover the best methods for preparing perfectly tender and juicy pork pastor, complete with the tangy sweetness of pineapple and warm spices. Whip up a crunchy, refreshing jicama slaw to top off these tropical-tasting tacos and dig in!
Cooking classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages from the venue to enjoy during the class.

KJ makes amazing food! A truly inspiring person and chef
Chef KJ is a food lover from Southeast Texas with Louisiana roots. His knack for creative cooking began at a young age as he learned to cook in his Turkish-Creole home. The author of two cookbooks, Chef KJ has led an impressive career. He's the founder of Klara J’s Artisan Confections, has a degree from the Art Institute of Houston, has served as a private chef and even represented the James Beard Foundation in Washington DC. Bradford has received many accolades for his professional work, volunteerism, and community activism. He believes the kitchen table is a place to find joy and comfort as you create memories through shared meals.
