There's no fussy fine dining here — only hearty, satisfying rustic favorites from the French countryside in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Catherine! Learn from a true professional in French cuisine as you create a tomato tart using thin slices of fresh tomatoes flavored with basil and garlic layered upon puff pastry. Then, create chicken a la Basquaise, an oil-braised poultry dish seasoned with onions and garlic and served atop homemade linguine pasta. Finish up your dreamy rustic menu with an earthy apple tart à l'alsacienne.

Chef Catherine uses her French heritage and finesse to create a light but filling menu. She said during her class that her sons only eat her cooking, and I can see why. I'd like to have her as my mom cooking for me all the time as well.
