Cooking Class: Craft Epic Dim Sum With Chef Akshay
Explore the delightful flavors of dim sum in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Akshay.
You'll begin the class by making homemade wrappers, then practice knife skills to mince shrimp and pork before combining them with an oyster-sriracha cream sauce. Learn the proper method to steam shrimp and pork shumai until perfectly tender. Next, fill more wrappers with minced chicken and basil to make dumplings served in a ginger soy broth with a sesame honey drizzle. Then, add a teriyaki glaze to fresh cheese and field mushrooms to fill the wontons before air frying them until crunchy. Finally, use crispy chocolate lava, assorted nuts and crème fraîche to make decadent chocolate rolls to end the meal.

Hello, The class very good. Chef Akshay provided some good tips and tricks, and made the recipes not over-whelming. The recipes and food were very good. The reason for the 4 star vs a 5 star was the amount of food we received for the money. We made a large amount of food, but the portions served to us were very small. As an example, we made 12 dumplings, but were only served 4 (2 each). We made a large WOK of Singapore noodles, but were given a small portion. We literally stopped for food on the way home. I have taken cooking classes before and leave very full AND with a "doggy-bag". Unfortunately, with this one, we left hungry and empty handed. BUT the class, the food and the experience was very good.
