In this exciting, hands-on cooking class, you’ll learn how to make authentic, beautiful tacos in the Mexican tradition. Chef Luis will teach you gourmet variations of traditional tacos, layered with diverse ingredients. The result: sensational flavor! You’ll first craft a delicious avocado and cream cheese dip, then learn how to make corn tortillas from scratch. Next, you’ll prepare a tinga taco packed with marinated chicken, and an ancient vegetarian taco stuffed with mushrooms and guacamole. Chef Luis will also teach you how to make salsa — brimming with bright and smoky flavors — from scratch.

Chef Luis taught me how to properly chop an onion safely while also having even pieces. I learned a good tip from him in order to cry less during chopping by always using a very sharp knife. This is crucial in order to not release the gasses of the onion. I will definitely be using his tips and tricks in my home kitchen.
