Toronto Cooking Class: Vegetarian Indian Menu
Curious about Indian home cooking? This hands-on cooking class walks you through it step by step!
You’ll start by making vegetable pakoras with fresh chutneys, learning how to season the batter properly and fry them until crisp. Then it’s time to work on a trio of Indian breads, including roti, paratha and a stuffed aloo paratha, while getting comfortable with dough handling and shaping. You’ll cook a classic aloo sabji, a simple potato and onion curry and practice balancing spices without overthinking it. To finish, you’ll prepare traditional rice pudding, kheer. With milk, rice, sugar, saffron and cardamom
