In this engaging team building activity, Chef Maurice will guide your team through a festive menu featuring fresh tacos. First, you'll learn how to make tortillas from scratch with masa harina, plus assorted taco fillings. Then, you'll break into teams and work together to create the best taco. Compete against other teams to make the most unique taco with assorted toppings such as fresh salsa, cheese and guacamole. While you craft your taco masterpiece, you'll also gain valuable communication and collaboration skills that will be a benefit back inside the office.

this was a very fun experience and it was very hands-on. I learned a lot and the food tastes incredible. we even got to take plenty food home! the portions were great and to learn aside Maurice and his daughter was amazing.

Maurice and his daughter were incredibly kind and informative. This experience was very hands-on and fun. Maurice was incredible with accommodating me and my allergies with no judgment. they were so friendly and we will definitely be booking more classes!

Chef Maurice was his team were great! We had such a good time making homemade tortillas and guacamole. I even learned a better way to cut open avocados. You can tell Chef Maurice really enjoys cooking and sharing his experience and knowledge with others. :)

This was SUCH a great experience! Chef Maurice and his family definitely know how to keep a crowd engaged! I booked this for a date night & we both learned sooo much and we are already talking about how we are going to use our new skills for parties at home! We are also considering Chef Maurice to cater our wedding! 10/10 for this experience. It’s worth the cost!

Chef Maurice was great! A lot of energy and very informative. We were a little disappointed that the class was not more hands-on as advertised. We did a lot of waiting for the chef to do the cooking off to the side where we couldn't even watch.

My husband and I had a really enjoyable night with Chef Maurice and his family. I will say I feel like we did not actually make anything. Chef Maurice made the dipping sauce and everyone received 1 or 2 practice dumplings while he cooked. I was expecting a bit more actual dumpling making/cooking. I would still recommend taking this class as it was nice to support a family endeavor and have a bit of a different experience.

We had such a great time at Maurice’s class! It was a blast to spend the evening with a chef who has 23 years of experience. My boyfriend, who is introverted and HATES cooking, had so much fun making the corn tortillas from flour and water. He also loved making the salsa and mixing the guacamole. As you can tell…I forced him to come with me. He really enjoyed the low key environment. We are huge taco fans so we really enjoyed all the food. We can’t wait to take the next class. I highly recommend taking a class with Maurice. One of the perks is how he can answer questions about restaurant life! I have never worked in the food service industry so it is very cool to hear about what that life is like. Take this class! You will love it. See you next time Maurice!

Maurice Evans and I worked together at Whiskey Cake for a little over a year. We both traveled to Houston to train for 3 months and opened and ran a restaurant together following that training. It was an amazing experience and I owe much of its success to him. Maurice is a chef, Hard working, knowledgeable, and passionate about his kitchen. He is a good coach with his people and very compassionate in how he handles their progress and employment. He has a high level of integrity and approaches difficult situations with good moral character and includes his leadership in those tough decisions. Maurice likes a clean kitchen and is very good at managing productivity throughout the day making sure all tasks are completed and gaps are filled. Most importantly his is coachable, and responds very well to feedback, wanting only the best from himself and for his team. Beyond his outstanding work persona, Maurice is a good human. He is kind, laughs a lot, loves his family, and thinks the best of people. He is committed to being a fair and present father, and works just as hard at being a good husband. He loves to learn and takes advantage of his free time by spending it with friends and family. I have thee utmost admiration for him and his talents and only wish an opportunity presents itself down the road where we can work together again.

We can't say enough about Maurice and not just his cooking skills but also his interpersonal skills. My husband, Javier, and I had the great pleasure of meeting Maurice when he was the executive chef at Whiskey Cake Tampa, and they held a series of whiskey dinners. The menus and pairings Maurice put together were of a quality that far exceeded expectations—but it was his energy and passion for the food that really made those dinners memorable. We always looked forward to seeing him and what he’d cook up next. For our 19th anniversary, my husband surprised me with a private dinner cooked by none other than Maurice. Maurice customized the menu especially for us, including a delicious bolognese, which is one of my favorites! My husband loves to cook, so he really appreciated the collaboration with Maurice and the cooking tips and tricks he shared along the way. We really miss those Tasting Tuesdays with Maurice but know that many good things lie ahead of him!
