Discover the colorful curries of Asian in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Matt. You'll learn the similarities and differences between Asian curries and their original form: the classic yellow curry. As you prepare each dish, you'll learn how each country gives curry its own tweak. First, you'll stop in Japan to learn how to craft Japanese golden curry. Next, you'll visit Thailand and learn to make a classic Thai green curry. Chef Matt will also teach you how to make curry powder and pastes from scratch. For dessert, enjoy a delicious curry butter cookie.

Meet your chef
Chef Matt's culinary background is robust and impressive, and his passion for cooking and teaching has been shaped by the many culinary experiences he's acquired over the years. Currently the owner of a catering bakery business, Chef Matt has worked as a sous chef for James Beard nominee Chef Jenn Louis, and was a top 10 finalist in the "Christmas Cookie Challenge" on the Food Network. A creative chef by nature, Chef Matt enjoys the process of teaching others.
