Cooking Class: Gourmet Knife Skills

Chef Ivan's cooking classes offer a way to take your culinary skills to the next level. This extensive class features professional knife techniques and safety skills while preparing three Mediterranean recipes using fresh vegetables and fruit. You'll learn how to julienne, brunoise, batonette and more while making minestrone soup with pesto and vegetables and salmon en papillote with mushrooms, squash, peppers and tomatoes. For more slicing skills, you'll prepare a rustic fruit galette with maple whipped cream with strawberries, peaches and blueberries.

I'm sure this course would have been wonderful, but for the second time in a row, I got a notification last minute saying not enough people had signed up and therefore they were canceling the class.

Chef Stefano was amazing! Was a great activity - where you’re learning to make homemade pasta and creating authentic recipes in a relaxed and totally enjoyable atmosphere! Highly recommend for family, friends and couples.

Chef Ivan began attending culinary school at the tender age of 14. His adventures in the world of food preparation took him through Europe and eventually brought him to New York, where he manages a catering company and volunteers teaching children's cooking classes. With a focus on sushi, Italian and French cuisines, Chef Ivan is always excited to share novel kitchen techniques with his guests and students.
