Cooking Class: Favorite Korean Classics
Explore
the culinary tradition that distinguishes these savory dishes, drawn from a truly unique Asian cuisine.
Korean cuisine relies heavily on fermentation
and pickling rather than the strong stir-fry tradition practiced by other Asian
cultures. In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Chris, you’ll learn about
this and other distinctions as you prepare an exciting four-course Korean menu.
Start your lesson with a kimchi pancake with scallions, and stone bowl kimchi fried rice featuring Spam and a fried egg on top. You’ll also learn to make classic array of banchan side dishes which may include tangy sesame soy-braised potatoes, kimchi pickles and more. Finish up with a mouthwatering dish of tender marinated chicken inside crisp lettuce wraps.
