Cooking Class: French Quarter Favorites

Explore the joys of French cooking and learn fundamental techniques to master classic dishes in this hands-on cooking experience. 


Chef John will begin by teaching you how to create a traditional three-onion soup covered in a layer of creamy brie cheese and crunchy croutons. Next, you'll learn how to make a hearty leg of lamb coated in fragrant garlic and rosemary, paired with a side of aromatic haricot Verts, roasted carrots and parmesan potatoes with cream. For dessert, you'll prepare fiery bananas foster complete with brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.

Overall a wonderful experience, food was great and so was the conversation. Just a tad warm in the house but overall he made our experience very memorable. He’s very capable and an excellent teacher.

Chef John was so much fun and informative! He made sure we knew exactly how to get to his place and welcomed us with warmth. The food was so good and fresh. I now know how to make Caesar dressing from scratch!
